Golden foothills rolling into themselves, peach orchards and strawberry fields and almond groves, sweet salvation it’s green again, taco trucks fixing poundheavy burritos, cool, and – maybe twice a day – a fleeting but doubtlessly real whiff of the ocean.
A whiff of the ocean….what an amazing layer to be experiencing!
Wish we could be there to jump in the pacific with you.
Me too. Hopefully it won’t be as cold as the Hartwood waters. I’ll be thinking of y’all.
Brother Andrew. You are getting very close . . . to the ocean, and, perhaps, to the end of your walk. However, some parts of your journey are just beginning. You’ve been in our thoughts and prayers for many months since your South Carolina pit stop. Big Peace to you!
I’ll be thinking of you and the family on the big day! So much gratitude for your part in this walk. All the best!
Almost there, Andrew. Almost there. When you get to the ocean, please sing HALLELUJAH to the Great One and to all who are part of the Great One, which includes every last person you met on your astounding journey. And don’t forget to sing for/to yourself, too. On your arrival, “Let Heaven and Nature sing.” I’ll be singing, too, here on the East coast, waiting for you to circle back ’round the fire pit, the place from which you started. And at trip’s end, may we all finally get to listen to YOU!
Love love love,
Gale
What a journey and experience you have had! The things you have learned are very valuable teachings for the rest of your life. Wishing you the best life has to offer. Janice
And wishing you all the best, too, Janice! Hoping you and Rand can make the October 6th or 7th welcome home celebration in Chadds Ford (details to come). Big hug!
Nice surprise to see you on Mt Hamilton Road today. Hope you missed the rain, we got drenched on our bikes descending to Alum Rock.
I escaped it alright. Good to see you out there on one of the most stunning roads of them all.
Great to hear you can smell that misty, salt water Andrew John. Wish we could be there for your immersion into the Pacific at the finish/starting line of Half Moon Bay, ready for the next adventure. Please take a rest, enjoy the hugs and love and don’t do this to my sister again. Ha. Fat chance , eh.
We are so proud of you, nephew Andrew John. You have touched so many people and demonstrated how many wonderful folks there are in this country. Thank you to all of you from us. Enjoy sleeping in a known, same bed for more than one night and breathe it all in. And make sure soemone takes many pictures on the beach!!!!!
Love,
Mary Ellen and Paul
Thanks guys, love ya!
So sorry we cannot be there for the exciting conclusion of your trek across America. Would love to share that moment with you and your arrival party. Best wishes and love. Uncle Frank and Aunt Ann
I’ll miss you guys, but we’ll celebrate back home in October. Much love!
Thank you very much for inviting me to your home coming. The ceremony was very nice when they took off your shoes to wash your feet I thought they would be paper thin from walking all that way. LOL Petunia even enjoyed walking through the fields and smelling all the new smells. Petunia says next time you go for a walk like that she would like to go with you.
I hope you enjoyed the applesauce nut and the banana raisin nut bread we brought; sorry we could not stay to eat.
God Bless ya and enjoy your time with your family,
Diane
Many thanks for coming, Diane. Wonderful to have you there. Be well!
