We did it! What a beautiful day, more perfect than I could have possibly imagined. I’m going to post one or two more stories on this blog, a final round of thank yous, pictures, maybe some thoughts and plans, but that will be in the next few days. For now I just wanted you to know that the water was cold and damn fine, the feast was more bountiful than medieval banquets of yore, and the people so beautiful I wept like a baby…no, like a man.
Thank you so much for everything. Some more stuff to come. In gratitude always.
Oh man. That must have been something…
Men’s tears are the best of all. Welcome “home”!
Archie
I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!! CONGRATULATIONS SEEMS SO MEANINGLESS. I DONT KNOW YOU THAT WELL BUT WALKING WITH YOU ALL THE WAY GAVE ME SUCH SATISFACTION. I WAS WITH YOU PERSONALLY FOR ABOUT TEN MINUTES IN BILOXI. JUST ENOUGH TIME TO SPILL A WENDYS FROSTY IN MY BACK SEAT, MOSTLY MY FAULT. TOO FUNNY!! YOU ARE AN AWESOME PERSON.
AN ACCOMPLISHMENT I WOULD HAVE SQUELCHED IN ABOUT THE FIRST 10 MILES. YOU ARE MORE THAN AWESOME AND YOU DID IT.!!!

Andrew-
I’ve been thinking about you all day. Beautiful, clear, windy here – lake full of waves and warm. Come jump in as in days of yore.
So glad your celebration began to meet your adventure. I was glad to come home from dinner an see another “Walking”. I was braced for ‘no more’ as in the end of the road. You sweetheart! You checked in!!
Fiveovertoyou:) (Bet your Mom’s glad you’ve landed). This mom is too.

Thanks, Boo! The walking man walks indeed. I like that, suggests to me that some things are just natural and inevitable. I’m glad walking was that for me, apparently. Cheers!
